Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account, obtaining a license key, downloading installers, or using AutoServer, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What AutoServer is

AutoServer is proprietary software that installs an AI operator on your Linux VPS. The public site and dashboard issue license keys and deliver release packages. Application source is not open source; marketing materials on GitHub do not grant rights to the core product.

3. License keys

• One license key binds to one machine (fingerprint), unless the dashboard states otherwise.
• Keys are personal / for your organization. Do not share, sell, or transfer keys except via dashboard Unbind + reinstall.
• MVP keys may be free; pricing and limits can change with notice on the site or by email.
• We may suspend or revoke keys for abuse, fraud, or Terms violations.

4. Root access and AI risk

AutoServer runs as root and can execute arbitrary commands on your server through the AI model you choose.

• You are solely responsible for every action the AI takes on your machine.
• Use only models and API keys you trust. BYOK means your LLM provider processes prompts/tool output according to their terms.
• Any loss, damage, data loss, downtime, or security incident from AI or misconfiguration is at your own risk.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to use AutoServer or our site to:

• Violate law, attack third-party systems, or distribute malware
• Circumvent license binding, reverse engineer release packages for redistribution, or resell the product without permission
• Abuse the license API, dashboard, or download endpoints (scraping, brute force, DoS)
• Impersonate AutoServer or phish others with our brand

6. Accounts

You must provide accurate registration details and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.

7. Intellectual property

AutoServer, logos, installers, skills framework, and documentation remain our property (or that of licensors). Your license grants use on authorized machines only - not a right to copy, modify, or redistribute the software except as expressly allowed.

8. Third-party services

LLM providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Groq, Google, OpenRouter, Ollama, etc.), hosting, DNS, and email are separate services. Their terms and availability are outside our control.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

THE SOFTWARE AND SITE ARE PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AUTOSERVER AND ITS OPERATORS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE PRODUCT - INCLUDING AI-DRIVEN CHANGES TO YOUR SERVER.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after the "Last updated" date means you accept the revised Terms. Material changes may also be noted on the homepage or by email when practical.
